6 Years of BTB at Toad!!!

Posted 03.02.15

Hey howdy hello friends!  Tom Bianchi here… doin' my best to keep up the "24 HouR" reputation.

!!EVERYBODY'S IN THE BAKER THOMAS BAND!!

6 years ago, March of 2009 I scored my first ever residency at Toad.  After years of primarily being a solo/singer/songwriter/bassist it was time to take a swing at having some sort of band.

Having no clue what to call this project, it was billed as, "Tom Bianchi and Friends."  If I remember correctly the band was 5 pieces.  We grew and grew and soon enough we became, "Baker Thomas Band!"  6 years later we're often 10 or 11 strong on Thursday's.

This month marks our 6 year anniversary of playing Toad steadily.  Along the way we've moved from Thursday to Wednesday and back to Thursday, taken off time here and there, but never more than a month or two.  It's been a great ride.

So… as long as we're still kickin' it on Thursday's at Toad, March will always be BTB MONTH!!!  Please do swing by the club and say hey this month for some special shows!!!

In other BTB news;  We have 2 new albums in the works!

Danielle Miraglia (steady BTB guitar guest… and my wife!)  and I finished up her brand new record, Glory Junkies!   (currently available!  www.daniellem.com)  This leaves me time to get busy on the new BTB record!!!  Alan (drums) and I cut our basic drum/bass tracks in late 2014.  Now it's time to get the band into the studio!  Keep an eye out yoooo!!!!

That's it!  That's all she wrote for this letter.  All that other stuff I do… open mic, songwriter series, bass bass bass..still doing it.  www.24hourtom.com for all the details of course!

Hope all is well!  See you on a Thursday in March!

Much Love!

ToM
